Course Details
This 1-day course is designed to teach and refine the technique of drawing and shooting from Concealment. This course will also help you discover the best method of carrying your Firearm concealed, using a split front garment or closed front garment. This one-day entry-level course will cover drawing and shooting from concealment, reloading from concealment, multiple target engagement, and how to properly conceal your firearm. Multiple target engagements, distance shooting, close-quarter engagements, etc.
This is a shooting, Class! We Will Not be going over any Manipulation of the Firearm.

KNOWLEDGE
- Learn to handle the firearm safely
- Learn the fundamentals of marksmanship:
- proper shooting stance, proper firing grip, sight application, trigger control, and trigger reset
- Shooting multiple targets
- Shoot at multiple distances
- Learn proper firearm handling,
- Drawing and shooting from concealment, differences in concealed carry, and shooting from cover.
- Develop confidence
REQUIREMENTS
- No previous experience is necessary
- Participants must provide a State of Alaska Background check or have a concealed carry permit, law enforcement, or military identification.
- Good attitude
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Appropriate clothing for the weather, including a ball cap, closed-toe footwear, and ear and eye protection to ensure your safety
- Bring a brown bag lunch and water.
- Completed application for training
HANDGUN
Additional requirements for those bringing their own firearm:
- 9mm semi-automatic handgun is the Minimum Caliber requirement
- Good quality holster system, appendix, inside and outside the waistband.
- 600 rounds of ammunition
- Handgun rentals are also available
- Must use Alaska Tactical ammunition if renting a handgun
