1 Day Pistol Intro

Course Details

This one-day Introduction to Handguns will cover Firearms Safety, the basic operation of your Handgun, and Marksmanship.

We will start the course with a Safety Brief covering the 4 firearms safety rules. You will then learn how to handle and manipulate your Pistol safely. You will learn a shooting stance, and a firing grip that will help mitigate the firearm’s recoil, how to properly run the slide of your pistol, and how to properly press the trigger. There will also be an introduction to distance shooting as well. You will gain a lot of confidence in your shooting ability, all while having fun.

In this introductory course, you will be on the range deck for about 5 hours and shoot 150 rounds.

No student substitutions will be accepted.

REQUIREMENTS

Additional requirements for those bringing their own firearm:

9mm semi-automatic handgun is the Minimum Caliber requirement
Strong-side, good quality external hip holster, magazine pouch, a minimum of three
magazines (a double-magazine pouch is preferred)
150 rounds of ammunition
Please note no sub-compact semi-automatic handguns or revolvers
Handgun rentals are also available:
Handgun rental is $35.00 per day
Ammunition is an additional cost
Must use Alaska Tactical ammunition if renting a handgun
