Beginner Handgun

Firearms Training

Class Description For Beginner Handgun Lessons

This 20-hour class is for beginners and accomplished students with the desire to learn the complete operation of their handgun, carbine, or shotgun for self-defense. It’s designed to achieve a higher level of confidence than the introductory class, as well as the safety measures you need to handle a defensive weapon. You’ll learn through a lecture, demonstrations, and range procedures.

This class includes safe weapon handling, fundamentals of marksmanship, multiple target engagement, accuracy at multiple distances, and manipulation of the weapon system. Participants are required to have either a valid Alaska concealed carry permit, current law enforcement or military identification, or a State of Alaska background check prior to participating in this class.

Please note that each platform (handgun, carbine, shotgun) has its own, separate training course.

“I recently took the Level 1 Pistol class with my girlfriend, who was terrified of firearms, and it was an amazing experience. I can honestly say this class really reassured, corrected, and improved our fundamentals. I trained with Steve and Danny, amazing instructors…”
