This 3 day advanced pistol course is geared for two-person teams. The teams should be either law enforcement officers or same family members wanting to acquire skills in the use of tactics and firearms together to resolve confrontational environments. Strong emphasis is placed on safety and safe handling of firearms in close confines and restricted space environments. Through utilization of demonstration, lecture, range procedure and simulation drills the participants will be taught movement, communication, cover fire and response to multiple threats. If you do not sign up as a team, a team mate will be assigned to you at the range. The students will be required to go into multiple prone positions, kneeling positions and running. Please be physically fit and adhere to your doctors advice.
Students must have successfully completed the Defensive Handgun Course – Level I and have either a valid Alaska Concealed Carry Permit, provide current military or law enforcement identification, or have obtained a State of Alaska background check prior to participating in this training.
